The annual MABF event activation inviting participants to engage in the conceptually performative act of etch printmaking. Stylised in the way of a diner, the activation serves as a tactile metaphor between printmaking and cooking.

Explored in collaboration with print artist Artek Halpern-Laurence, the installation is replete with all the ephemera you might expect to find in a kitchen. Visitors created their own etching guided by a menu and using “cooking” tools, carrying the print home in a branded takeaway pizza box.

The project requires extensive spatial design to accommodate over 120 stallholders, a central symposium space, and food & beverage services. Steel rack shelving was procured to support the expanded program, providing stallholders with the flexibility to merchandise their stock and ensuring ample display space. This modular system is designed for re-use and rolled out annually.
