This immersive display of moving images, costumes, and photography presents a reimagined vision of the planet as a solution to the climate crisis. As a multi-medium show exploring complex themes within Young’s concept, the exhibition design is divided into distinct zones to guide the viewer through the experience. These zones are marked by design elements that maintain visual continuity, unifying the space under a singular aesthetic.

The exhibition employs LED lighting and colored glass film to create an environment that feels distinct from the everyday and a typical white box gallery. Elements of Young’s research are brought to life in large-scale graphics, including wall text and graphic layers derived from manipulated screen grabs of his video works.

The photography is mounted on vertical steel poles, giving form to otherwise 2D images. As the exhibition progresses, culminating in a large-scale presentation of Young’s latest video work, the color palette transitions from purple to pink to orange. This shift helps guide the viewer through the artist’s concept from beginning to end, and ties with the colour grading of each project.

In a space defined by angular geometries, the design follows the irregular architectural lines, creating moments for pause and reflection while maintaining a sense of flow throughout the exhibition.
